Having completed a few custom builds recently, I can confirm that AMD’s Ryzen processors really are incredible. I have used the Ryzen 5 2600 in two computers, coupled with fast, 3000 MHz DDR 4 RAM, and an M.2 SSD. It doesn’t look like many laptop manufacturers decided to offer Ryzen in their lineups this time around, but I expect we will see some in the near future. These new offerings are so good, AMD has even managed to wrestle some market share away from the strangle-hold of Intel, and its stock price is certainly reflecting those gains. The takeaway? Where there’s this much smoke, there must be a fire somewhere. AMD Ryzen processors are an incredible value for the performance they offer, and if you ask me to build a computer for you, you’re likely to get one.
